Woburn Abbey launches two new Children’s Trails

To offer younger visitors a great, new experience at Woburn Abbey, two brand new trails have been created.

Visit the Abbey and Che Foo, Duchess Mary’s beloved dog will guide you through the rooms with plenty of challenges to complete along the way. Duchess Mary, also known as The Flying Duchess was the wife the 11th Duke of Bedford and she loved Che Foo more than any of her other pets. Through the trail children will find out more about Duchess Mary and her other pets as well as lots of other interesting facts about Woburn Abbey.

Humprhry Retpon, the Landscape Gardener who designed many of the historic features within the Abbey Gardens will take Children on a discovery tour. Kids find out about wildlife, plants and garden features and they finish off with becoming a garden designer themselves, designing a garden feature they would like to add to the Woburn Abbey Gardens.

Both trails are at no extra cost and are included in the entry price.

Plenty of reasons to enjoy a great day out with the family at Woburn Abbey and Gardens during the summer holidays!
