February Half Term at the Treasure Houses of England

From spotter trails to new exhibitions, there is something on offer this half term at the Treasure Houses of England whether you are big or small!

Beaulieu

Get hands-on at Beaulieu this February half-term (10th – 18th ) and light up the ultimate symbol of luxury, a stunning Lalique car mascot which is part of the glittering centrepiece of the National Motor Museum’s brand new display The Luxury of Motoring.

Be creative and design your own car mascot, then make a top hat and dress up in a luxury motoring costume before stepping into a 1904 veteran car for a selfie opportunity. Or why not recreate the striking pose of the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy mascot for an unforgettable family album photo?

Blenheim Palace

Step back in time to the Victorian Era this half term holiday and discover the new fascinating ‘Victorian Passions & Pursuits’ exhibition, open from 10th February. Including costume displays from ‘The Young Victoria’, art exhibition ‘Romance and Rebellion’, Victorian vehicles and original period room displays. Round off your visit with a delicious Victorian inspired Afternoon Tea in the Orangery restaurant overlooking the Italian Gardens.

Castle Howard

Fun for all the family this February half term… As the cold days of winter give way to spring, children can enjoy exploring our gardens and discovering nature’s signs that the seasons are changing this half term.

Pick up the children’s illustrated spotter sheet, look for pretty white snowdrops and magnolia buds and listen for the chorus of twittering birds as the gardens come to life. See what else you can see that shows the outside waking up from its winter hibernation, plus follow the handy tips on what you can do to help wildlife in your own garden.

Chatsworth

The farmyard and playground at Chatsworth will re-open especially for the February school break from 17th – 25th February. There might even be some new arrivals to meet, as well as the small animal handling sessions; milking demonstrations; tractor trailer rides; activities in the craft barn and the adventure playground where young ones can let off some steam.

Leeds Castle

Become a junior explorer in the grounds of Leeds Castle from 10th to 18th February. Follow an exciting fun packed activity booklet filled with clues to help you spot different birds and trees as you adventure through the Castle estate. Complete your journey and be rewarded with a chocolate prize. This event is included in the price of admission.
