Meet Beaulieu’s Nature Detective on Bird-Themed Easter Trail

Nature Detectives at Beaulieu

Meet the Nature Detective at Beaulieu this Easter and spot his feathery friends on a bird-themed treasure trail with family activities around the attraction from Good Friday March 30th – April 15th.

Meet the Nature Detective at Beaulieu this Easter and spot his feathery friends on a bird-themed treasure trail with family activities around the attraction from Good Friday March 30th – April 15th.

Find the bird-named vehicles in the National Motor Museum, make doughbird shapes with Lord Montagu’s cook in Palace House and become a fully fledged Nature Detective when you pick up your trail bag and go hunting for natural treasures.

Spot the Nature Detective as he drives around the attraction in his Willys Jeep, get your face painted like a bird and join in with bird making and colouring crafts.

Then find out more about the ancient art of falconry at the brand new display Abbot’s Mews which tells the fascinating story of falconry on the Beaulieu Estate. You might even be lucky enough to meet Lord Montagu’s first falconer in centuries, as he shares his expert knowledge about remarkable birds of prey at his new base in the grounds of 13th century Beaulieu Abbey.

Along Mill Pond Walk, see the woodland fairies perched high in the trees above their fairy door homes. Come face-to-face with the giant Green Man tree carving, see the many-headed serpent stretching out into the river and take a ride on the ‘Skytrain’ Monorail for the best view of the tree-topgriffin carving with the tail and back legs of a lion and head, wings and talons of an eagle.

Make bark rubbings, see how many topiary animals you can find and when you’ve finished your hunt, pick up your Nature Detective bug prize. Fill your bag with feathers, pebbles, leaves and natural treasures along the way.

When you’re feeling peckish, fly over to the Brabazon Restaurant for an Easter seasonal treat. Try the new Milkshake Bar, traditional Simnel cake, Easter cupcakes and hot cross buns, then have a go at the ‘Guess the number of eggs’ competition for a chance to win a jar of chocolate eggs.

All Easter activities are included in the general admission entrance ticket, which includes entry to the National Motor Museum with its collection of more than 250 vehicles and new display The Luxury of Motoring, the new-look World of Top GearOn Screen Cars, Palace House, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and the stunning grounds and gardens. Tickets can be bought in advance online. For tickets or more information see www.beaulieu.co.uk or call 01590 612345.
